Bewdley Festival 11th - 20th October 2019

Clive Wilmer - Ruskin and William Morris in Worcestershire

Bewdley Baptist Church

14 October 2019    14:30

Between them, John Ruskin and his follower William Morris revolutionised taste and worked tirelessly for social justice. In the 1870s Morris designed a window for Ribbesford Church and Ruskin’s Guild of St George established an ideal community in an area of the Wyre Forest, known to this day as Ruskinland.

AS part of the Bi-Centennial celebrations of the life of John Ruskin, Clive Wilmer, Master of the Guild of St George, explores what these two icons were up to and how these things were connected.
